You Can't Blow
Home Again by Herb Payson In going back to Sea Foam we crossed a threshold. Our problems remained pretty much the same, but our perceptions of them had deepened. We had grown stronger as seamen and as a team. Our experience of the cruising life now included both the good and the bad, but even after the treats of four months of Stateside living, we were eager to return to our boat. Maybe we'd sail to Singapore, maybe to Bali. Maybe we'd round South Africa, or instead head up to Suez. It didn't matter. What did matter was that we'd be back aboard Sea Foam, moving with the wind, rediscovering slow, compelling rhythms., taking the time to see. |
